Dr. Joel Dale

Our Pastor, Joel Dale, came to us in June of 2008 after 5 years as Pastor of Sandy Plains Baptist in Shelby and three years as Minister to Youth and Children at Clearview Baptist in Anderson, SC. He is a 1988 and 1993 graduate from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling. Joel also is a 2004 and 2009 graduate of Gardner-Webb University School of Divinity with Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. He tries to live out the commandments from Jesus the Christ when asked what Christians are to be about, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart…love your neighbor as yourself.” Prior to going into vocational ministry Joel was a professional counselor for ten years. He has been married to Mary Davis Dale since May of 1989 and they are the parents of three children – David, Jacob and Kirsten. Along with spending time with the family, Joel enjoys running, cycling, and reading. He is also a little fanatical about the Clemson Tigers! Joel is also the PA announcer at Central High School home football games, Head Coach of Central High's Cross Country Team and Assistant Track Coach in charge of the long distance runners at Central.


 


 

 

Minister to Youth

Rev. Meredith Mills

Meredith Mills has been at FBC Pageland since February 2010 and is originally from Concord, NC. She has served at several churches since her calling to ministry in 2003 and was ordained as a minister in 2012. She loves ministry and helping youth to come to understanding that if you put Christ first you will succeed! She is a 2003 graduate from First Assembly Christian School, a 2008 graduate from Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor's in Religious Education and Educational Studies and a 2016 graduate from Grand Canyon University with a Master's in Licensed Professional Christian Counseling. Meredith is also the Drumline Instructor for the Sound of Central Marching Band and the Chaplain of the Pageland Fire Department. She enjoys reading, spending time with youth & children, ministry, music, football and of course Nascar Racing.

 



 


 

 

 

 Minister of Music

 Robbin Usher

Robbin has been a member of FBC Pageland over 35 years and has served as Worship Leader for a total of 20 years. Robbin started singing solos in church when she was 4 years old and hasn’t stopped since. She loves singing and feels this is a way she can minister to people. She is a graduate of Winthrop University and the University of South Carolina. Robbin currently teaches at Ruby Elementary School. She is married to Al Usher and they have 2 children. Courtney, their daughter is married to Chris Brown and Trent, their son, is married to Jerica. They have 3 grandchildren, Alison Grace Brown, Major Moore Usher and Captain Lynn Usher. Robbin loves spending time with her family and she also enjoys reading and going to Central High School and Carolina football games. Philippians is one of her favorite books of the Bible and she loves the passage from Philippians 3: 13-14: Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead; I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.



  


 

 

 

 

Accompanist

Jay has been a member and accompanist at First Baptist Church of Pageland since the early to mid 1980’s. He started taking piano lessons in the 4th grade and began playing in church around the age of 14. In the 10th grade Jay began playing regularly at the Presbyterian Church in Pageland on a full time basis until being called to FBC. Music has always been his avenue for worship and praise to God. It is also a witnessing tool to help others meditate and worship our Lord and Savior.

Jay is married to Rhonda Godfrey from Waxhaw, NC and they have three children. Lauren, Maleah and Garrett.

Our Ministry Assistant, Kim Faile, began working at FBC Pageland in December of 2007. Kim is married to Dean Faile and has two children, Shane and Joleigh. She is a 1989 graduate of Central High School and is a graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh with an Associate of Science Degree in Web Design and Interactive Media. She is a member of Hornsboro Baptist Church in Pageland. Her interests include reading, working with children and spending time with her family.
